Flower Trees

When thinking up Narnia I wanted to create an environment that was whimsical while being mysterious. A friend and I got to thinking on this project and we thought to integrate happy trees and scary trees. Since I love making paper flowers and when I discovered how to make trees out of flowers I was on a happy tree mission.

To replicate our happy trees you simply making large paper flowers in a variety of greens, yellows, whites, and pinks(for spring).  Then you end up with happy trees. When the flowers are made you simply staple gun the flowers to birch branches. Our birch branches were 15 dollars for a bundle of five, not bad! If your in NYC head to 28th and 6th. There you will find all the birch your heart desires!

WHAT YOU NEED

Tissue paper in a variety of colors
Flower Wire
Scissors
Birch Branches

You simply according fold the tissue, for detailed instructions link HERE. Wire the tissue paper, pull the paper away from each other and you will have a puffy flower before you know it. Each tree requires five flowers per branch. Be sure to use 20 sheets of paper per flower and mix and match the colors. Once your flowers are made I simply used the wire holding the flowers together to staple gun in place. These flowers have held up well and the children will enjoy them this fall in Sunday school.
