PSALM 23

Have I mentioned to you at Calvary St. Georges we are SOOOOO fortunate to have Ginger Oakes on our team. She comes up with the most thrilling and engaging projects for the kids each Sunday. We love her work and so do the kids.A couple weeks ago we were working on PSALM 23. During that class the children were given very creative ways to decorate and design pre-written verses.

All I can say is I wish I were a kid at Cal St.Gs

ART MATERIALS

Have you ever been bored of the same old crayons? I have and I am always so attracted to clean and modern design when it comes to kids products. However, they are usually too pricey to justify. I have found the SOLUTION. KID MADE MODERN!! I LOVE THIS PRODUCT  and I know the kids will too in Sunday School, join the fun this coming Sunday.

Sunday School Bags

One thing we learned from Creative Arts Camp, is that when your dealing with little ones it is key to keep them organized. This year we decorated bags for the children and throughout the week they collected their crafts in these bags. At the end of our camp we handed the bags to the children and off then went with a bag full of treasures.

This Fall we will do the same thing. We are going to be collecting the children's crafts throughout the semester so in the end they have a bag of treasures along with many stories to share with Mom and Dad.

ITEMS NEEDED

.99 cent Canvas Bags from MUJI (can you believe it!)
Acrylic Paint (so the children are able to wash their bags in the future)
Fabric Paint Pens

We simply drew the lions face for the children and they did the rest. They used hand prints, paint brushes, etc... to create their own personalized bags. They are a great size, you can't beat the price, and perfect for organizing the children's accomplishments.

Getting Organized

I love a clean Sunday school room. It is easy to get in a rut when your rooms are not clean or happily organized. This last week I began preparing our rooms for the Fall.
BTW, The Container Store has a fabulous sale. I chose some bright colored boxes and baskets to get us started.  I also love to use clear glass containers so I can see what we have. Head over to Fish Eddys and you can buy a case of Mason jars at 15.00 dollars a case, what a deal.

This is just the beginning.....
