Keep the Sabbath

Last Sunday we went over the third commandment. We hoped our little ones walked away knowing our church is a place to come and rest, listen to God, and be reminded that God is for them in the week ahead of them. So, for our craft project we made Sabbath Sacks. I simply took old canvas drop cloth and repurposed the fabric by sewing little sacks. The children decorated the sacks and placed their names. The purpose of the sacks are for the children to take a moment each Sunday and think of a prayer or thoughts on God. At the end of the year the children will have a sack full of thoughts and prayers to God.  I can't wait to see what the kids come up with each week.

The kids had a fabulous time decorating their personal bags and are ready to fill them up.

Hope to see you Sunday!!!
