As I thought about the Fall I kept coming back to the idea of the Ten Commandments. The question I had was how do we teach our children about the Commandments without turning our study into moralism or quid pro quo for that matter. As I was thinking of this subject a friend turned me to "Free to Be." A Lutheran catechism written in the 60's. I read the book straight through and began to adapt a curriculum for this Fall. I promise you if you hope to engage in teaching that will last, this is the book for you!!
